Tell Bush and Ashcroft to Prosecute Illegal Loggers, Not Greenpeace

From Greenpeace: In less than one week, a courtroom battle begins that could have a significant impact on Americans' right to peaceful protest. For the first time in U.S. history, an advocacy group in the United States is being prosecuted for free speech activities.

John Ashcroft has indicted the entire Greenpeace organization as a result of our ongoing work to protect ancient forest and expose forest crimes. Two years ago, we staged a peaceful protest against an illegal shipment of mahogany from the Brazilian Amazon miles off the coast of Miami, Florida. While we await our day in court, those who log, import and sell illegal mahogany continue to operate.

Tell George Bush and John Ashcroft to prosecute illegal loggers, not Greenpeace.
